Sybbie went to see the exotic vet again today.

I’m pleased to say that Sybbie is looking well on her insulin. Her weight is nice and stable, and she has no ketones. Over the last 2 weeks, the vet advised me to test her glucose level at different intervals after her insulin dose. This has given us an idea of how long the current dose is working for and how big an effect it is having.

Sybbie enjoyed her vet snuggles, and is going to be an even bigger fan of the new plan! Based on the readings, she’s having the insulin twice a day but will need less testing. Although Sybbie is great with her treatment, she prefers the insulin injection to the tail prick glucose testing!
